They say that the one thing all parents have in common is a desire that they not outlive their children. Unfortunately, some parents are forced to endure the heartache of an untimely passing of a child.
That’s exactly what the parents of a 43-year-old woman are going through right now. She was killed a few days ago in a truck accident about three hours northeast of Fayetteville that authorities are blaming on a North Carolina trucker charged with reckless driving.
Virginia State Police say the woman’s car was crushed between two tractor-trailers on an interstate highway in New Kent County.
A horrifying series of chain-reaction collisions began when an 18-wheeler hit a pick-up truck slowed by traffic. The pick-up was propelled into a van, and the van then collided with the 18-wheeler. The big rig then crashed into two more vehicles: a work truck and the woman’s car. Her vehicle was crushed between the tractor-trailer and another big rig.
The 43-year-old died at the scene of the crashes, according to a news report scant on details. However, according to an online memorial, she left behind parents and her husband.
The graphic designer and illustrator loved music, art and traveling and spending time with her family and friends. In other words, she lost a rich and vibrant life and her grieving family lost a cherished member.
