An accident involving three vehicles resulted in several injuries and the death of a 15-year-old North Carolina high school student. The incident happened shortly before 7 a.m. when a green Saab sedan carrying four students allegedly failed to yield to traffic while making a left turn and hit a Honda driven by a student on her way to Wake Forest High School. A third vehicle was also involved in the crash.
Two of the passengers in the green Saab and the driver of the Honda were taken to WakeMed. The driver of the green Saab was reported as being in good condition, and one of the passengers was listed as being in serious condition. The driver of the third vehicle was not hurt.
North Carolina state troopers have referred the case to the Wake County District Attorney’s Office to look into possible charges. According to authorities, speed was not a factor in the accident, and all of the students were wearing seat belts.
In a situation such as this, the individuals injured in the accident might choose to pursue legal action in an effort to collection compensation for the damages suffered in the incident.
